[edit] Old Business Review
Need:
- Insurance
- Utility Software
- Gliffy account
Status of Tech Soup: Silona - don’t know yet, in process
State of Donations on website: Randy/Silona met, module installed, in process of setting up; Josh knows someone who can help with setup
[edit] New Business
Codeathon, toughen up definitions on 3 rules:
- Code OS status; do via license to apply? See OSI variations?
Josh: use OSI, FSF only, or advance-LoTV-approved license
- Status of organization (non profit) via cert. recp’t according to gov’t rules
- Universal solution (generic utility; not specific to one context); LoTV approval in spirit of general purpose utility and Non Profit purpose
Develop LoTV guidelines/standards; put on website
Do we want to participate with various transparent/open gov’t movements, e.g. Reason Foundation “transparency oath”, Kato Foundation, etc?
- Some of these are well aligned to our own goals (e.g. http://www.reason.org/news/google_government_coalition_082407.shtml)
- Work to make transparency a non-partisan issue
Need to discuss $25/mo subscription to Gliffy.com (wiki for graphing) Michelle says our finances are stable enough to do so. Trial subscription approved.
- Note: requires flash 7
- Michelle created our trial account
